The 12th meeting of the Facilitative Working Group (FWG 12) will be held from 5 to 8 November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan in SPE Nasimi located in Area B of the Baku Stadium. The registration for the meeting was open from 8 August to 18 October 2024.
In preparation for the meeting
- Registered in-person participants, who have submitted all their information and have received registration confirmation emails with acknowledgment letters can apply online for COP 29 e-visas through the link to the visa portal provided in the email.

Badge Collection and Registration
Pre-sessional badges for FWG 12 participants will be issued at the COP 29 registration counters located at the COP venue main entrance in Area A (please see the area map).
FWG 12 will start at 14:00 AZT on 5 November. To avoid delays and long waiting lines at the registration counters, we recommend that participants arrive 1-2 hours before the start time to collect your pre-sessional badges.
Registration desks in Area A will be open from Monday, 4 November 2024, between 08:00 and 18:00 AZT. You can collect your badges one day before the FWG 12 meeting.
Required Documents for Your Badge Collection
At the registration desk in Area A, participants must present:
- The acknowledgement letter from the online registration system (either printed or displayed on a mobile device);
- A valid passport or a nationally approved photo identification card.
Upon collecting your badges, participants are invited to follow the signs and proceed to SP 5 (event meeting room) in Area B (see the area map) to check in at the meeting room entrance and join the meeting.

More information on the virtual participation for the FWG 12 registered virtual participants will be provided via email shortly before the start of the meeting on Tuesday, 5 November.

Interpretation
Remote simultaneous interpretation services will be available in English, Spanish, French, and Russian on all days of the FWG 12 meeting. Additionally, Portuguese interpretation will be kindly provided by the Brazilian delegation.
Poster/gallery exhibition
For the first time, FWG will be offering a space to the contributors to share examples of climate action and solutions from their regions through a poster/gallery exhibition. The FWG invites you to bring a small collective of photos, or a small poster, to display and share with other participants.
