Advancing meaningful participation of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in the UNFCCC process

The Facilitative Working Group (FWG of the LCIPP) warmly invites you to a virtual LCIPP training workshop and an informal contributors’ briefing.

The virtual training workshop is the fourth in a series of modules being implemented as part of Activity 4 of the LCIPP workplan 2022-2024.  It aims to strengthen the active participation of Indigenous Peoples and local communities, including youth, in the UNFCCC process and strengthen their contribution to the implementation of the Paris Agreement.

Immediately after the virtual training workshop, the informal LCIPP contributors' briefing will follow to present ways to meaningfully engage in the 11th meeting of the Facilitative Working Group (FWG 11) and the LCIPP mandated events at SB 60. 

The event will take place over two timeslots to enable wider participation across different time zones in the following time slots:

  • Session 1: 14 May 2024; 18:00 - 20:00 CEST (Interpretation available: English, Spanish)
