With 2022 underway, this informal briefing provides all LCIPP contributors an overview of the events and discussions under the UNFCCC and its work with indigenous peoples and local communities, including for the mid-year climate discussions (SB 56) and COP27 in Egypt at the end of 2022.
The briefing will give attendees:
- An overview of COP26 outcomes related to indigenous peoples and local communities, and a look ahead to COP27;
- An overview of the LCIPP second three-year workplan (2022-2024), welcomed at COP26;
- An overview of LCIPP events at SB 56.
